How to Identify and Attract Your Ideal Clients

Ever found yourself in a client meeting, sipping your third coffee, and thinking, "Why does this feel so exhausting?"

Today, we'll discuss why some clients leave you energized and others, well, don't.

Buckle up for a deep dive into client categories and how to attract more of your Ideal Clients.

Understanding Client Types: The 3 'C's

Trigger Clients

Picture a client that reminds you of a past version of yourself, sparking a notion that you should help them.

But here's the catch - these are what we call Trigger Clients.

They might need help, but it might not necessarily be from you.

I've had my fair share of these interactions, sometimes doubting my own abilities to coach them.

Cringe Clients

Then come the Cringe Clients. These are your professional party poopers.

They are consistently late with their payments, have a knack for missing appointments, or love to hit the reschedule button.

Trigger and Cringe Clients are not only a negative experience, use that experience to rethink and rework your programs.

Crush Clients

Finally, we have Crush Clients.

These are the individuals you can't wait to work with - your dream team, your Ideal Clients. They're just as eager to work with you.

Trust me, when you start focusing on these folks, it's a game-changer for your business!

And it’s a simple logic really - because when you are energized, you will attract others to you.

Attracting Your Ideal Clients: Your Action Plan

Feeling brave? Great, let's put on our detective hats and do some client categorizing:

Step 1: Create your client list. Every single one, past and present.

Step 2: Now, assign each one a category – Trigger, Cringe, or Crush.

Step 3: Jot down why each client gets their respective tag. And here I suggest you add things like

  • where do they come from,

  • how did you connect with them,

  • what are their characteristics,

  • what is it that you like / dislike about working with them.

This isn't just a labeling exercise. It's about understanding who your Ideal Clients are and how you can tweak your business, and your messaging to attract more of them.

Because, you also want to REPEL your Trigger and Cringe Clients - and that is why it’s so important that you know more about them too.

Your Voice, Your Ideal Client Magnet

Remember, your communication style plays a pivotal role in attracting your Ideal Clients.

By refining your messaging and approach, you can naturally draw your Ideal Clients towards you and steer away from the Triggers and Cringes.
